Gosh, Am I Wrong? Could I be so Out of Touch?

I still don't know. As I wrote yesterday, I wasn't surprised to learn that the Border Patrol, at least the "higher-ups" in the Border Patrol, were snitching out the locations of the Minutemen to the Mexican government. When you have internationalists run your federal government, it should be assumed that global priorities will mean more than national ones.

Well, apparently it has turned into a much bigger deal. It's been on the radio all day and it is all over the blogosphere.

CNN did a piece

Andrew McCarthy discusses the law.

Malkin uncovers (more!) cronyism at the Department of Homeland inSecurity. And blogs here, here, and here. Boy! She's is all over this one!

Debbie Schussel wonders why tax dollars pay for Julie "ICE Princess" Meyers personal attorney.

and there are now resignations out of frustration among the men on the front lines,
***update from Daily Bulletin: " Scott James, a former Tucson agent, resigned after eight years of service in February, citing a lack of support for agents by the Department of Homeland Security. He said that U.S. Border Patrol officials provided office space inside their headquarters to Mexican consulate officials, allowed the consulate to dictate the agents' activities, and gave the consulate information on ongoing investigations. Such courtesies were not extended to consulate offices of other countries, James said."***
I read all of the links and I gotta say, I'm still not surprised.

The United States is great. It's just the people who suck.

Well, half of them anyway.

yeah. No news is good news.

As well, the image much of the world gets of us comes from the most morally-depraived place on the planet: Los Angeles.

I've often said that almost everything that comes out of that cesspool is offensive to me, and I am certainly no prude. If I were a fundamentalist of some sort, and the only thing I knew about the U.S. was what came out of Washington D.C. and L.A., I may even consider the U.S. a "Great Satan".

Truth be told however, most citizens lead rather mundane lives: we go to work, work, come home and hang out with our families, go to bed, and start over again the next day.

America is that big land mass between the coasts that the elite of our nation call "fly-over country". Here in the middle, we are called "hayseeds", "the great unwashed", "Joe six-pack", "hicks", and "useless eaters" by the elitists that many of you rely on for information and entertainment.

If you all ever decide to come to Colorado, I'll show you some of the most beautiful places on the planet. No politicians or movie stars allowed. Just good friends, good beer, good conversation, and the Rocky Mountains.
